As I look in the mirror, I challenge myself to be honest about what I see, feel, and who I am. I ask myself if I am living the life my creator intended for me, or if I have allowed society to mold me into someone that serves the interests of those who seek to control and dominate the world. I recognize that the lives of my ancestors were shaped by a white supremacist system, built on lies and deceit, designed to perpetuate the enslavement of Black people and many poor people for generations. I question whether the ultimate goal of this system is to completely dominate the mind, body, and soul of the majority.
